The liturgy will draw on the music of African-American composers in a wide range of musical styles. Liturgical prayers will include the words of the influential theologian Howard Thurman. The Very Rev. Judith A. Sullivan will serve as the Officiant and Preacher. We will be joined by our special guests, the Chancel Choir of the African Episcopal Church of Saint Thomas, under the direction of Jay Fluellen.
