AT LONG LAST BIBLE STUDY! — Join us every Wednesday, at 12:30, in Cathedral House, following the noon Eucharist. Bring your lunch and an appetite for Scripture!

CONNECTING WITH THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH: INQUIRERS’ CLASSES, FALL 2010 Are you interested in learning more about your faith or refreshing what you learned years ago? Join the Dean for six spirited sessions as we explore who we are, where we come from, and where we are going in the Episcopal Church. Class will meet on Wednesday from 3 - 4: 30 pm in Cathedral House.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 7 – ALL SAINTS DAY — We will celebrate the Feast of All Saints at the 10 AM Eucharist. All are invited to submit the names of loved ones in your family or the community who have died during the past year so we may remember them at that service.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 9 AM – 3 PM — CATHEDRAL WORK DAY
This year members and friends of Philadelphia Cathedral are asked to come together to take on those major cleaning tasks that go beyond the routine. You simply need to show up on the day and help out. Typically, the event will last four to six hours. Lunch will be provided. “Many hands make light work.”

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 14 AT 4:00 PM SOLEMN CHORAL EVENSONG & INSTALLATION OF THE CATHEDRAL VERGER
Experience the beauty of Solemn Evensong, one of the jewels of our Anglican liturgical tradition, during which time, Robert Mikrut, a member of the Cathedral congregation will be installed as the Cathedral Verger. Complimentary parking at the southwest corner of 39th & Markets Streets.

The Rev. W. Franklin Allen, Rector of Saint David’s Episcopal Church, Wayne, PA, will be the Officiant and Homilist. The Youth Chamber Choir of St. David’s Church directed by Mr. Robert Gallagher, will also join us for this special service. All are welcome. Reception to follow.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 21 AT 10 AM - FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING Join us for a Festival Eucharist as we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King on the last Sunday of Pentecost. This day completes the Church’s liturgical year and our Christian journey through the life of Christ on earth and in heaven.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 23 AT 7 PM — INTERFAITH SERVICE OF THANKSGIVING WITH THE PHILADELPHIA BOYS CHOIR— You are invited to this annual service of Thanksgiving which has become a beloved Cathedral tradition featuring the outstanding Philadelphia Boys Choir. Free will offering.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29 — FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT — Advent (from the Latin word adventus meaning “coming”) is a season observed in many Christian churches, as a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas. It is the beginning of the Western liturgical year. Join us for the Holy Eucharist at 10 AM as we light the first candle of the Advent wreath during this holy season.
