Organist Adam F. Dieffenbach holds degrees in Biblical Studies and Music Composition from Philadelphia Biblical University, as well a Master of Music degree in composition from Temple University. He is currently writing his dissertation on two 17th-Century Lutheran Hymnals.
Having previously served as Chapel Organist at The Alumni Memorial Chapel of St. Cornelius the Centurion of Valley Forge Military Academy and College, Minister of Music at The Reformed Church of Willow Grove, and as Organist at First Baptist Church in Lansdale, Mr. Dieffenbach is currently Director of Music at Zwingli United Church of Christ.
His principal organ teachers have been Robert Carwithen, Chris Garven, and Diane Belcher. He comes from a long line of pipe organ builders (four generations from ca. 1776 to 1900), and in addition to his work as Director of Music,
Mr. Diefenbach is Service and Project Manager at CM Walsh Pipe Organs in Collingdale, PA. He resides in Harleysville, PA, with his wife Jenny, who is also a PhD candidate, writing her dissertation on J.S. Bach’s Passions and Passiontide cantatas.
