David Christopher has an active career as conductor, voice teacher, organist and church musician. He began his career as a organ recitalist at the age of 14 and soon afterwards became a frequent performer at Longwood Gardens. A gifted accompanist, he is often called on to collaborate with singers and instrumentalists in recital as well as in chamber music programs.

As a member of the Irvin/Christopher Duo, David performs in collaboration with violinist Andrew Irvin, Concertmaster of the Arkansas Symphony, specializing in the seldom performed, yet highly accessible body of music written for violin and organ.

The owner of a two-manual Flemish harpsichord built by Steven D. Jones in 1987, David frequently plays harpsichord continuo for concerts throughout the area. Last season, he made his debut playing harpsichord with the Delaware Symphony in Handel’s “Water Music Suite” and played harpsichord for OperaDelaware’s recent performances of Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro” and Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville”.
