A Reflection on African American Narratives, Spirituals, Poetry and Dance

In honor of African-American History Month, the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral will host a program entitled “They Slice the Air.”
The program will be a reflection on African-American narratives, spirituals, poetry and dance. The evening’s meditation will include spirituals (arranged by Johnson, Burleigh, and Bonds), reflective dance, and the recitation of historic slave narratives and poetry.
